Meet Gryphon

I am so glad you are here! It brings me joy to know that you are taking the first steps towards your health and happiness.

My name is Gryphon and I live in beautiful St. George, Utah. I love cooking up delicious meals and baked goods, practicing yoga, creating arts and crafts, sipping matcha lattes, spending time with my big Maine Coon cat, and enjoying the outdoors as much as possible.

I was born and raised in Delaware, where I lived with my parents and older sister. Later, I moved to North Carolina to attend college at the University of North Carolina at Asheville where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Health and Wellness with a concentration in using Food as Medicine. After college, I continued my education with the American Fitness Professionals Association, becoming a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist. My studies and training have shown me just how vital the food we eat is to our overall health and well-being.

I am thrilled to share my passion for lifestyle medicine and how to use food as our gateway to vibrant health! When working with me you can expect the core focus to be on the six pillars of wellness; nutrition, exercise, stress management, sleep, hydration, and self-care. I emphasize acknowledging each individual's stage in life with respect to their circumstances and environment. With a focus on small lifestyle habit changes we can learn together what makes you feel your best!

I understand that making lifestyle change commitments can be quite daunting, but I strive to create a comfortable and inspiring environment that encourages maintaining these goals for years to come!

GRYPHON’S “WHY”

Growing up, I was furtunate to have parents who valued high-quality, nutritious foods, though as a child, I didn't always appreciate it. When I visited friends, I marveled at the allure of junk food and resented the restrictions at home. It wasn't until years later, when I had full control over my food choices in college, that I began to understand what my family had been trying to instill in me.

To my surprise, I found myself drawn to healthier options - salads, roasted vegetables, and nutrient dense meals. Almost immediately, I noticed a shift. I felt more energized, more focused in class, and overall, happier. This newfound Vitality motivated me to start exercising regularly, and the more I prioritized my health, the better I felt.

As I pursued a degree in Health and Wellness Promotion, my passion for this lifestyle grew. I realized the incredible change I experienced through simple lifestyle choices was not just a bonus- it was how we're meant to feel all of the time! From that point forward, I committed to making my health a top priority, understanding that true happiness comes from a foundation of well-being. This personal journey inspired my mission, to help others experience the same transformation, empowering them to become the best versions of themselves. Everyone deserves to feel amazing in their own bodies, and I am dedicated to guiding people towards that reality.
